If the orchids you recently purchased are starting to lose flowers, or you have one that hasn’t bloomed for a while, the tricks we suggest in this article will be right for you.

Orchid flowers can be of many different shapes and colors, but they all have extraordinary delicacy in common. Our homes are certainly not the ideal environments for orchids, and for this reason special care must be taken.

In fact, to stay alive, the orchid needs conditions similar to its natural habitat. This will avoid flower drop and premature death of the plant.

In this regard, lemon juice  comes to our aid . In addition to being rich in minerals and vitamins, it helps to have a more acidic soil, ideal for orchids. Below we suggest 3 ways to  use lemon juice to treat orchids.

Makeup 1

Prepare a strong fertilizer to prevent the orchid’s roots from rotting and to encourage its flowering.

Mix 100 ml of lemon juice with 3 liters of water. Water the orchid with this solution once every 6 weeks. Lemon will help prolong the life of the plant and keep insects and fungi away.

Makeup 2

This trick is very effective in giving shine to the orchid leaves, making them healthier and more pleasing to the eye.

Squeeze the juice of a few lemons and soak a cotton ball in the juice. Apply on the leaves, without exaggerating. The appearance of the orchid leaves will improve after a few days.

Makeup 3

On a plate, pour a little water and the juice of 3-4 lemons. Place the orchid pot on the plate so it can absorb this solution. It will take approximately 30 minutes.

This trick must be repeated 2 times a week and is very useful for giving a “boost” to the plant and making the flowers last longer.
